Welcome to the Events Schedule page for the Intermountain Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS).
For activities sponsored by other organizations, please contact them for particulars.

NOTE: We meet the third Friday of every month at the Lone Star Steakhouse, 7450 W. 52nd Avenue, Arvada, Colorado (Just north on Wadsworth off I-70). There will be a cash bar starting at 6:00pm followed by a dinner, order from the menu with individual settlement staring at 6:45pm. The Program will start at 8:00pm. For Dinner reservations at the Lone Star Steakhouse the advance reservation policy will be in effect.

JANUARY
- Saturday 5: Jeffco Train Show, 9am to 4pm. Jeffco Fairgrounds 6th Avenue west of Indiana Street on Frontage Road. Nominal Admission Charge
FEBRUARY
- Friday 15: Chapter Meeting, Rossi's, Dinner 7:00pm, Program 8:00pm. Program: Rich Luckin will show a NON-RAILROAD video: "Ours to give: The Long Legacy of an American Family" and a sneak preview of his upcoming "America and the Passenger Train".
MARCH
- Monday 10: Chapter board meeting, 7:00pm.
- Saturday 8: Excursion on the "Pea Vine" to view the Cranes (birds). Follow this link for a Reservation Form.
APRIL
- Friday 18: Chapter Meeting, Lone Star Steakhouse, Dinner 7:00pm, Program 8:00pm. Program: Dick Kreck will present a slide show covering the Denver Post Cheyenne Frontier Days train.
MAY
- Monday 12: Chapter board meeting, 7:00pm.
- Friday 16: Chapter Meeting, Lone Star Steak House, Dinner 7:00pm, Program 8:00pm. PRogram: Dr. Joe Schweiterman, will present "When the Railroad Leaves town: American Communities in the Age of Rail Line Abandonment".
- Saturday/Sunday 31/1: Steam up At the Colorado Railroad Museum.
JUNE
- Saturday/Sunday 14/15: Steam up At the Colorado Railroad Museum.
- Friday 20: Chapter Meeting, Lone Star Steak House, Dinner 7:00pm, Program 8:00pm. Program: John Charles will present a program on South African Steam.
JULY
- Monday 14: Chapter board meeting, 7:00pm.
- Saturday 19: Steam up At the Colorado Railroad Museum.
- Saturday 26: Railfair, 9am to 5pm. Jeffco Fairgrounds 6th Avenue west of Indiana Street on Frontage Road. Nominal Admission Charge
AUGUST
- Saturday/Sunday 9/10: Steam up At the Colorado Railroad Museum.

SEPTEMBER

Dinner Meeting Reservation Policy

Reservations for the monthly meeting dinners at the Lone Star Steakhouse ARE required and MUST be phoned into the OFFICE no later than the week prior to the meeting. For the Annual Banquet reservations must be MAILED, with a CHECK, to the Chapter office by the Reservation Deadline given for the event. There will be NO REFUNDS given after the deadline. Nor will dinner be served to persons without a reservation. Also, if you make a reservation and fail to attend you will be billed as we are charged for no-shows.
